Chef Karim is the Executive Chef and founder of Texture in Copenhagen, recognized with one Michelin star within 8 months of opening. Known for daring yet balanced creations, such as langoustine tartare with lavender and goat-cheese sorbet with bergamot, to name a few. He comes with more than 28 years of experience in gastronomy at prestigious establishments like Restaurant Escale and Carryle Rouet, Marco Pierre White’s Oak Room in London, and several other two- and three-Michelin Star restaurants across Europe.

Chef Karim Khouani
Executive Chef, Texture
Karim Khouani grew up in the sun-soaked city of Marseille, where early memories in his grandmother’s kitchen sparked a lifelong love of food. His cooking is rooted in the French tradition — guided by the seasons, shaped by classic ingredients, and reimagined through a Nordic lens. Karim’s career has taken him through top kitchens in France and England, including under Marco Pierre White, before love brought him to Sweden. In Malmö, he opened Restaurant Ambience, earning a Michelin star in 2015, followed by Restaurant Sture, which received its star just three months after opening.
